ASADO MINISTRIES
The Heartbeat of Our Reason for Living and Working
Everyone should have a general or specific plan for living out our lives, a plan to reach our job goals, the development of our own lasting friendships, and, most importantly the development of our spiritual lives.
As for me and my lovely wife, Carmen, service on behalf of others is the way we live. Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian Prophet, made this statement:
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
Asado Ministries is the channel, the conduit, the vehicle for us to serve others. Our stated goal of Asado Ministries is:
“We fervently hope we can be a bridge between a wonderful but struggling Christian population in Uruguay with the vast resources we have in the USA. We seek to identify and connect the genuine physical, emotional and spiritual needs in Uruguay, with the ability of folks in the USA to help fund those needs in a way that enables the local population to continue their work for Christ and to cause them to feel empowered to do their work, not our work for them. We desperately seek their independence and pride in accomplishment and not something that will make us feel good back in the USA.”
I invite you to take a few minutes to review this unique ministry. Each year, Asado has been blessed to give approximately $50,000 to $75,000 per year donations for the projects we support in only one country, Uruguay, South America. Interestingly, on our last trip to Uruguay earlier in 2019, a top US Embassy employee told us that Asado Ministries is the ONLY international ministry working in Uruguay. Sad but true. Our work is not done!
I hope you find this site a welcome segue from legal services to the spiritual service of others.
