To Get Quality Medical Care in A Job Injury Claim Seems to Be so Difficult and Complicate. Why Is That?

Again, it is because this law has been established for over 50 years. The insurance company has the right to control your medical care by listing on the panel at your place of employment the doctors who can treat you when you are injured on the job.

If this list in not posted then you have no obligation to get medical treatment from an insurance doctor. However, you must look at your place where you work whether this list of doctors is posted. If it is posted you must take a picture of that panel, even before your injury. Take a picture of it and keep it on your phone. If you get injured then you know where to go to get treatment. If the panel is not posted or if it is found to be defective then you can get medical treatment form any doctor you choose.

This is an extremely frustrating area of my law practice but it is very gratifying when we can “break” the panel of physicians if the insurance company did not post the list of doctors or they posted it illegally.
